Judd Trump has been named Halo WST Player of the Year after a record breaking 2024/25 season.

Trump won the Shanghai Masters, Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters and UK Championship as well as reaching three other finals and the semi-finals of the World Championship. He also made a record 107 century breaks during the campaign, and banked £1,680,600, the most prize money earned in a single season, helping him to build a huge lead at the top of the Johnstone’s Paint World Rankings. 

It’s the fourth time Trump has been named Player of the Year having won the award three years in a row from 2019 to 2021.

Trump also scooped the All British Casino Fans Player of the Year award, voted by fans in the UK and China.

And he won the Midnite Magic Moment of the Year for his sensational clearance in the deciding frame to beat Mark Williams 10-9 in the Saudi Masters final.

Kyren Wilson came out on top in the Star Xingpai Journalists’ Player of the Year, voted by media who cover the sport throughout the season. During a prolific 2024/25, Wilson won four ranking titles: the Xi’an Grand Prix, Northern Ireland Open, German Masters and Players Championship.

Zhao Xintong won the Sportsbet.io Performance of the Year for his incredible World Championship success, becoming the first Chinese player and first amateur to conquer the Crucible.

Nongfu Spring Rookie of the Year is Bai Yulu, who made history with the deepest ever run from a woman in a Triple Crown event when she reached the last 48 of the UK Championship. 

Xiao Guodong won the OlyBet Breakthrough Player of the Year award for making a significant leap forward in his career, highlighted by victory at the Wuhan Open and climbing into the top 16.

Kyren Wilson joins the Johnstone’s Paint WST Hall of Fame, which recognises the great players from snooker history and those who have made a significant contribution to the sport, following his World Championship triumph in 2024.
