Just one counting event remains in the Race to the Crucible, with Wu Yize needing a late surge up the Johnstone's Paint World Rankings to climb into the top 16.

The top 16 as it stands at the end of next week's Sportsbet.io Tour Championship in Manchester will earn an automatic place at the Crucible, with all other players heading to the World Championship qualifying rounds.

Jak Jones, runner-up in Sheffield last year, is in 16th place but has not qualified for Manchester so can't add to his tally. China's Wu is the only player in Manchester not already sure of a Crucible spot. He trails Jones by £52,200 which means he must reach the final next week to climb into the top 16. Shaun Murphy reached the quarter-finals of last week's Sportsbet.io Players Championship in Telford and he's now guaranteed a place at the Theatre of Dreams in April.

The seeding order for the World Championship will be confirmed at the end of the week in Manchester and the schedule for the Crucible announced soon afterwards.

John Higgins' run to the semi-finals in Telford secured his top four seeding which means he goes straight into the quarter-finals next week, alongside Trump, Wilson and Neil Robertson. Trump made six centuries in Telford to bring his total for the season to 92. He needs eight more over the next two tournaments to bring his tally into three figures. The first player to make 100 centuries this season will earn a £100,000 bonus.
