Sam Fletcher won the Jessie May Media World Championship for the second consecutive year, beating David Burney in a dramatic final which went down to the last black.
Staged in CueZone in the Winter Garden, the tournament is contested by media who cover the main event. WST's Digital Media Manager Fletcher took the trophy in 2023 and again came out on top. Burney, a journalist and commentator for Snooker Canada, led the one-frame final 61-46 before Fletcher cleared blue, pink and black for victory.
In the earlier rounds, Burney beat BBC's Shabnam Younus-Jewell, WST's Chris Stonadge and the Metro's Phil Haigh, while Fletcher knocked out journalists Shane MacDermott and Nick Metcalfe.
The tournament raised money for WST's official charity Jessie May Children's Hospice at Home. Our thanks go to Chris Lovell and WPBSA for hosting the event in CueZone.
