Luca Brecel and Reanne Evans claimed the last frame of the group stage and edged to a place in the final of the World Mixed Doubles in Manchester.
Belgium’s World Champion Brecel and England’s 12-time Women’s World Champion Evans led overnight, but were in a perilous position this afternoon.
They trailed Selby and Kenna 3-0 in the last game, but crucially won the final frame to end with a 3-1 defeat and gain their spot in the final.
That came after Judd Trump and Baipat Siripaporn beat defending champions Neil Robertson and Mink Nutcharut 3-1 in the first match.
Trump crafted breaks of 64 and 89 during the tie to give them a glimmer of hope progressing, but they lost out due to their head-to-head with Evans and Brecel.
