Fast-paced drama is guaranteed in this once-a-year format, with all matches lasting a maximum of ten minutes. A shot clock of 15 seconds for the first five minutes and just ten seconds for the last five puts players under pressure from the first moment.
Mark Allen won the title in Swansea last year, becoming the first top-16 ranked player to lift the trophy. There was also a historic moment as Shaun Murphy became the first player to make a 147 under the timed format.
The world ranking event has been staged every year since 2011 and always produces incredible moments.
The 2024 event will run from December 4 to 7 at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester. Standard tickets start at just £22. The event starts with 128 players, all needing to win seven matches to capture the trophy. Crowds are encouraged to get involved and support their favourite players.
