Can Trump Bank The Bonus In Berlin?

Judd Trump looks red hot favourite to win the £150,000 BetVictor Series bonus this season, and only six other players are in the running, with two events to go.

The BetVictor Series covers eight tournaments across the season, with the leading player in the series rankings to earn the £150,000 jackpot. Trump previously banked the bonus in 2020 and 2021, then John Higgins won it in 2022 and Robert Milkins landed the windfall in 2023.

Trump scooped the BetVictor English Open and BetVictor Northern Ireland Open titles earlier this season, as well as finishing runner-up to Barry Hawkins at the BetVictor European Masters. His overall tally is £204,000, giving him a huge lead of £101,500 over second-placed Hawkins.

The two remaining counting events are next week’s BetVictor German Masters, then the BetVictor Welsh Open which runs from February 12 to 18. If results go his way next week, then Trump will be sure of the bonus before the event in Berlin ends.

Hawkins must reach the final in Germany, worth £35,000, to maintain his hopes of winning the bonus. The only other players in with a chance are Chris Wakelin, Mark Allen, John Higgins, Zhang Anda and Shaun Murphy, and they must all win the £80,000 top prize in Berlin to have a chance of keeping the race alive, going into the final event in Llandudno.
