The first ever professional event in Saudi Arabia will run from Monday to Wednesday (March 4-6) at the Global Theatre in Boulevard City, Riyadh. Competing for the title will be Luca Brecel, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Judd Trump, Mark Allen, Mark Selby, Shaun Murphy, Mark Williams and Ali Carter.
The opening night of the event will see the two wild cards take on Williams and Carter. All four quarter-finals will be played on Tuesday, followed by the semis and final on Wednesday.
The event features a new innovation with the introduction of a 23rd ball, known as the Riyadh Season ball. This gold ball will be worth 20 points and can only be potted once a player has crafted a 147 break, allowing them to take their tally to 167!
Last month, HE Advisor Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), alongside WST, announced the staging of this historic event.
