A star studded lineup has been announced for day one of the Unibet British Open, with the likes of defending champion Mark Williams, World Champion Kyren Wilson, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Judd Trump and Mark Selby all in action.
The event runs from Monday September 23rd to Sunday September 29th at the Centaur Arena in Cheltenham. Blockbuster showdowns, shocks and stunning snooker are expected with a random FA Cup style draw in operation throughout the week.
The opening day sees the heldover matches take place, with the bulk of first round games having already been completed at qualifying. Ties include Williams beginning the defence of his title against Malaysia's Rory Thor, seven-time World Champion O'Sullivan facing Manasawin Phetmalaikul and Crucible king Wilson up against Julien Leclercq.
The draw for the second round has already been made and a meeting of Thailand's two best players, Thepchaiya Un-Nooh and Noppon Saengkham, is one of the picks of the games which are already confirmed.
