Bio

After his first spell on the tour lasted a single season, Brown returned to the amateur ranks for the next eight years and worked in a petrol station before finally regaining professional status in 2018. In just his second season back he made his only Crucible appearance to date, and in his third he pulled off one of the greatest upsets in snooker history by winning the Welsh Open, defeating Ronnie O’Sullivan in a deciding frame in the final. That made Brown the third player from County Antrim, and the fourth from Northern Ireland overall, to win a ranking title.
