Bio
When his ambitions of a professional football career were ended by a broken leg, Burden focussed on snooker and in 1998 qualified for the World Championship for what remains the only time, going down to Tony Drago in a closely contested first round match. The Londoner had never reached a ranking quarter final by the time he was relegated after 14 years on tour, but after winning the 2009 World Amateur Championship to regain professional status, he made the last eight four times during a ten-year stint, and after another season off tour he returned via Q School in 2021.
