Bio

Ten years after first turning professional, Wells missed out on his first ranking semi-final after losing a decider to Kyren Wilson at the 2018 Paul Hunter Classic, but achieved the landmark later that year and ultimately got to within a frame of the Scottish Open final. He has since appeared in two more ranking events semi-finals, notably the 2024 Xi'an Grand Prix when he was beaten by Judd Trump but banked a career high pay day of £34,500.
