Bio
Originally a professional in 1996, Higginson was in the first season of his third spell on tour when he came up just a frame short of winning the 2007 Welsh Open, only being denied when Neil Robertson won the last three frames to take the final in a decider. The run came just a fortnight after he had featured in the last 32 of a ranking event for the first time ever. Winner of a minor ranking event in 2011 where he beat John Higgins in the final, Higginson returned to the tour via 2023 Q School after a one-year absence.
