Bio
Winner of the Asian Under-21 title in 2015, Akani showed his quality two years later when he reached the last 16 of the UK Championship, notably beating Barry Hawkins 6-0. He came close to an even bigger scalp against Ronnie O'Sullivan, but having led 5-4 he lost 6-5. After a spell away from the pro tour, partly caused by a long illness, the popular Thai regained his card via Asia-Oceania Q School in 2024.
